Savola Foods Company (SFC), part of Savola Group, celebrates signing co-operation protocol with Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) to improve the health & wellbeing of the entire nation, using R&D. Such prolific collaboration aims at encouraging Egypt’s promising innovators; living inland or abroad, on ingeniously manufacturing non-hydrogenated ghee as a safer & healthier alternative to hydrogenated products.
SFC’s latest endeavours crown the witnessed successes achieved throughout “ Al Moadla Al Sah” awareness campaign; where 720K citizens across 11 governorates in Delta & Upper Egypt expanded their knowledge on hydrogenation’s adverse health effects &rectified their education on proper nutrition.
General Manager of Food Sector & Business Development, Savola Foods Company (SFC), Hania Serry – stated: “Owning one of the largest food R&D centres in the MENA region, SFC is proudly inking a co-operation protocol with ASRT; one of Egypt’s most prestigious centres of excellence, to improve the dietary lifestyle of our community.” Serry added: “Today, we are passionately unveiling “Economic manufacturing for Non-hydrogenated Ghee” competition, launched through the State’s e-platform (Egyptian Innovation Bank). The contest is designed to honour the best 3 groundbreaking solutions tailored to provide healthier options for hydrogenated ghee. SFC & ASRT will award winners with rewarding prizes ranging from EGP 10-30K in addition to certificates of appreciation endorsing their innovations’ themes.”
