Samsung Electronics Egypt signed a co-operation agreement with Beni Suef Technological University led by Prof. Dr. Sayed Abdel Qader, with aim to provide the students with experimental education opportunity in the fields of information and communication technology as well as mechatronics. Through the training, Samsung aims to equip the students with all the required skills and knowledge to compete in the internal and external labor market.
The signing took place during the visit of Prof. Sayed Abdel Qader, President of Beni Suef Technological University to Samsung’s headquarters in Abu Radi Industrial Zone, Al-Wasta City, Beni Suef, where Mr. Choonki Kwon, the Chairman of Samsung Electronics Egypt hosted and accompanied him in a tour inside the factory to explore the advanced methods of Samsung’s manufacturing process.
During his speech, Mr. Choonki Kwon, Chairman of Samsung Electronics Egypt expressed his delight to sign cooperation agreement with Beni Suef Technological University, looking forward to fruitful cooperation that develops the qualifications of Egyptian university graduates to match the requirements of the labor market.
For his part, Eng. Hadi Barakat, Head of Human Resources at Samsung Egypt affirmed that the cooperation comes in line with the company’s mission towards developing education in Egypt and improving the students’ skills to adapt with the 21st century technological leap. Barakat praised the level of modern educational equipment and laboratories at Beni Suef Technological University and expressed his keenness on providing all the facilities to train the students inside Samsung factory.
In another context, as part of the corporate’s social responsibility, Samsung Electronics Egypt distributed food boxed to the less privileged families in Upper Egypt during Ramadan, in collaboration with Al Orman Association.
Mr. Ahmed Gaafar, Head of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Electronics Egypt said, “Samsung is always keen to positively contribute to the markets where it operates and Egypt is considered one of our most important markets. We work on supporting the economic aspect as well as the social aspect of the society through training students, especially since youth represent the majority of the Egyptian population. Through our partnerships with various institutes, we aim to qualify Egyptian youth with the highest technical and educational standards.
