Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Co-operation Rania El Mashat called on Romanian companies to grasp available investment opportunities in Egypt in the fields of renewable energy, green hydrogen, the localisation of industry, capacity-building, communications and information technology.
Mashat made the remarks during the fourth session of the Egyptian-Romanian Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation held in Romanian capital of Bucharest, according to a statement released by the Planning Ministry on Thursday.
The session was co-chaired by Mashat and Romanian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Ștefan-Radu Oprea, the statement added.
The two ministers discussed mechanisms for developing the decades-long Egyptian-Romanian relations, amid the economic developments at the regional and international levels, which require concerted efforts to support development in both countries, the statement read.
