Orange Egypt, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Orascom Pyramids for projects, which is in charge of developing, availing, and operating visitor services in the Giza Pyramids Plateau. The agreement aims to develop the customers and visitors experience by providing smart integrated telecommunications solutions and digital services within the pyramids plateau through the use of advanced technological solutions to best suit and match our ancient civilization and the greatness of this archaeological spot spanning over 4,500 years.
The signing, which took place this morning in the Pyramids Plateau, was attended by Mr. Stéphane Richard, Chairman and CEO of Orange Group, Mr. Alioune Ndiaye, Chairman and CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, and Eng. Hesham Gadallah, Chairman and CEO of Orascom pyramids Entertainment, along with a delegation of the two companies’ management teams.
The sponsorship agreement includes providing smart and advanced solutions for communication services and supporting the digital and technological services system in the pyramids plateau, with the goal of serving visitors and creating an unmatched experience when visiting the archaeological site.
The agreement will avail a variety of technical solutions such as providing the visitors’ with broadcasting historical and guiding information on visitors’ mobile phones through using “Augmented Reality” technologies, providing a smart parking system for vehicles that guides visitors to vacant parking spaces, in addition to “Digital Signage” panels, and employees entry tracking application “Access Control System”.
Ms. Maha Nagy, Chief Communications Officer at Orange Egypt expressed her pride for Orange Egypt’s sponsorship of the Giza Pyramids Plateau, the oldest and last reaming icon of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. She also explained how “Culture” plays a fundamental role among Orange Group’s numerous social responsibility projects, which seek to develop and link cultural ties between the world and all of the countries in which Orange operates.
