Under the umbrella of its for corporate social responsibility program, “LG Heroes”, and in cooperation with the Misr Al Kheir Foundation, LG Egypt has donated 1,050 Ramadan food boxes to eligible families across various Egyptian governorates, through participating in the foundation’s Iftar campaign, aiming to provide essential nutrition supplements to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan.
This collaboration comes within the framework the renewed memorandum of understanding between LG and the Misr El Kheir Foundation at the beginning of the year 2024 and after the tangible success achieved by the partnership between the two parties during 2023.
According to the signed memorandum of understanding, LG Egypt is committed to providing sustainable support to the Foundation at all levels through In-kind donations and thus increasing the number of beneficiaries in the numerous initiatives carried out by the foundation across Egypt.
Billy Kim, Managing Director of LG Electronics Egypt, has commented: “Providing community support to those in need and working to achieve a positive and tangible change in the lives of the largest possible number of the Egyptian society members is a top priority for LG, and therefore the company is proud with its contribution to the Iftar campaign in partnership with the Misr Al Kheir Foundation, meaning to lift the burden and provide basic food needs for those in need during the month of Ramadan,with efforts to upgrading society and creating a decent life for all its members is the true essence of our global slogan “Life’s Good.”
Within the same context, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Director of Direct Aid at the Misr Al Kheir Foundation, added that the services provided by Misr Al Kheir to the beneficiaries during the “Iftar Campaign” in the holy month of Ramadan is fueled by the foundation’s solid belief in its vital societal role towards the beneficiaries across the different governorates of Egypt.
Moreover, Youssef has expressed his his gratitude towards the effective collaboration with LG Egypt and his hope for this partnership to continue and flourish in the future, stressing that this cooperation was not the first of its kind, as the long lasting understanding between the two parties is going into its second year in a row and has been successful in creating a positive effect in multiple initiatives carried out by the foundation in different sectors, which comes in line with the foundations main strategy and mission of human development.
The long-term partnership between LG and the Misr El Kheir Foundation aims to raise the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen and create a better future for society as a whole.
The cooperation agenda between the two parties for the year 2024 includes multiple initiatives in a variety of fields, including Ramadan Iftar campaign, increasing the efficiency of services provided in orphanages and special needs centers, with the aim of providing a decent life for the groups most in need of care, supporting youth centers and providing advanced capabilities to enable the youth group to discover and develop their talents, in addition to providing support to the Misr El Kheir Foundation marriage facilitation initiatives
