With the Egyptian government’s resolution many years ago to implement a serious and ambitious strategy for digital transformation across all sectors, “Benya Group” has successfully carried out a number of governmental and private sector projects. As a result, the group has become the primary provider of digital infrastructure for various promising projects in other parts of the region, even expanded its strategic projects to serve the African continent.

‏Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman and CEO of “Benya Group”, officially announced the rebranding of “Benya Group’s” subsidiaries “Fiber Misr Systems” and “Fiber Misr Engineering” to be “Benya Systems” and “Benya Engineering”.

‏Eng. Mekky pointed out that “Benya Systems” has a wide portfolio with enormous number of successful projects, with total volume that amounts 2 billion Egyptian pounds, including the Knowledge City project, where “Benya Systems” supervises the implementation of the project as a “smart city”.

‏He added that, “Benya Engineering” was established in the first quarter of 2020, a year and a half ago. It focuses on engineering enterprises and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The company aims to meet all of the data centre sector’s demands in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East in accordance with the most recent worldwide industry standards. Moreover, “Benya Engineering”, in co-operation with Telecom Egypt, was awarded to supply and install 231,000 smart metres for water, electricity and gas services to serve about 75,000 units. Our contribution to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) is not only limited to this. We have proudly contributed to building, managing, and operating one of the first shared towers in the NAC, which provides coverage for all network users at the lowest possible cost following international standards.

‏Mekky revealed that during Cairo ICT, “Benya Group” will launch its new subsidiaries “Benya Cloud”, a digital centre for numerous disciplines that provides secure and smart technologies to meet business demands while also accelerating digital transformation.

‏In addition, “Benya Ventures” aims to support entrepreneurs and inject investments to startups that are related to technology and artificial intelligence. Through “Benya Ventures”, the group will establish several investment funds, and the first fund will be launched with a capital of $50 million.

‏Mekky also stressed that “Benya Group” is establishing the largest optical fiber factory in the Suez Canal with investments of one billion pounds, in partnership with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation and in alliance with “Corning” American company for optical fibers and cables. The plant is expected to be inaugurated in June 2022.
