Eng. Hossam El-Gamal, Executive President of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA), had a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France and the United States of America, to share expertise and reinforce international cooperation with telecom regulatory authorities, therefore developing Egypt’s telecom market. Meetings were held on the sidelines of ITUWRC-23 held in Dubai, UAE, from November 20 to December 15, 2023.
Eng. Hossam El-Gamal met Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General, Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in UAE, and Dr. Mohammed Saud Al-Tamimi, Governor of Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) in KSA. He also met Mr. Gilles Bregant, CEO of the National Frequency Agency of France (ANFR) and Ms. Jessica Rosenworcel, Chairwoman of Federal Communications Commission in USA.
During meetings, topics of reinforcing cooperation in terms of infrastructure development as well as building human ICT capacities were tackled, while methods to raise customer satisfaction levels with the services provided and ideally use frequencies in modern technologies were also discussed. The topics were actually explored through sharing ideas and expertise among all parties regarding common issues.
