Etisalat Misr is participating in the activities of the 25th edition of the Conference-Cum-Exhibition “Cairo ICT 2021”, under the theme ‘The Digital Challenge’.
Running from 7 to 10 of current November, the exhibition brings together dozens of representatives of global, regional and local technology companies in the sectors of communications, information technology, smart transport and smart cities, financial inclusion and technology solutions.
Eng Hazem Metwally, CEO of Etisalat Egypt, expressed his gratitude of taking part in such an event, stressing that this year’s edition reflects the state’s interest in the importance of the ICT sector and its vital role in achieving development at all levels, which makes us keen to focus on new technologies and technological solutions that are in line with the changes imposed by the Corona pandemic.
He added that the Etisalat Misr’s strategy is in line with the state’s efforts to transform Egypt into a regional communications centre and activate Egypt’s 2030 vision for digital transformation, especially after Etisalat succeeded in completing 70 per cent of building services and managing the New Administrative Capital’s systems according to the latest technologies the world has known for smart cities.
“Etisalat Misr is keen to present – in each Cairo ICT session – the latest technologies, networks and services that the company will offer in the Egyptian market and smart cities as an opportunity for establishing partnerships with various agencies from the government and private sectors. This is also meant for presenting the latest innovations and electronic services owned by the company to facilitate on citizens and achieve digital transformation.
For his part, Eng Hossam el-Madawy, who is in charge of the institutional sector at Etisalat Misr, stressed the company’s keenness to have an influential role in the digital transformation process, which represents one of the main axes to push the state’s production capacity, while developing and improving the system of services provided to the Egyptian citizen.
The company, he said, will review a number of advanced digital services that have been provided as part of digital transformation efforts, according to four main axes, including those related to citizen services.
The services include those of providing facilities and managing complaints, valet parking services, waste management, smart home, and smart transportation. The home services include Quad Play, such as fixed voice, Internet, IPTV and ETISALAT TV.
Etisalat Misr has a strategic vision for how to encourage companies and institutions to work more while keeping abreast of developments in the world around us, with the aim of maximising investment in the telecommunications sector and benefiting from the digital transformation process in Egypt. It is also keen to provide the Egyptian user with all the services that are provided in the world, but in accordance with the infrastructure, Egyptian laws and legislation.
