The National Postal Authority’s (Egypt Post) Board of Directors has approved the authority’s budget for the fiscal year 2022/2023, with a net surplus amounting to LE4.422 billion, a senior authority official said.
Dr Sherif Farouk, NPA Board Chairman, explained that the authority succeeded over the past three years to realize many achievements, including the application of financial inclusion and digital transformation, in addition to the development of the existing post offices and establishing new ones.
Postal kiosks and mobile postal vehicles were also dispatched as part of the developments, a matter that contributes significantly to facilitating citizens’ access to services.
The development process followed a comprehensive strategic plan that aims at creating a qualitative leap in all sectors and services, with the continuous support of Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Farouk noted.
“This exceptional achievement that has been achieved is a real breakthrough in Egyptian Post’s performance and indicators; as the authority achieved 4 billion and 422 million pounds net profits with a growth rate reaching 21 per cent. The total revenues for services reached 5 billion pounds, with a growth rate of 21%, and savings fund deposits amounted to 266 billion 379 million pounds,” he revealed.
Dr Farouk indicated that the development plans, hard work, and optimal investment of the authority’s assets, in addition to investing in the human element through continuous training and raising the efficiency of workers are all factoring in increasing the authority’s opportunities in the Egyptian market and enhancing its competitive capabilities, and regaining customer confidence.
