The International Water and Wastewater Technology & Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference (IWWI Cairo 2025) officially opened in Cairo Sunday at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre.

Running between 23 and 25 November, the exhibition and the conference are held under the patronage of the Ministries of Housing and Environment and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Minister of Housing Sherif El Sherbiny inaugurated the event, touring over 100 Egyptian and international exhibitors, starting with the high-profile German Pavilion.

At AERZEN’s stand, he praised German companies as strategic partners in Egypt’s drive towards sustainable, resilient water systems.

AERZEN stole the spotlight by unveiling its fully integrated “From Blower to Aeration” next-generation solution, the industry’s first AI-powered, end-to-end aeration system for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.

The turnkey package delivers dramatic gains in energy efficiency, operational cost reduction, and environmental performance, perfectly aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and Net Zero ambitions.

Minister El Sherbiny highlighted AERZEN’s critical contribution to modernizing Egypt’s wastewater infrastructure and accelerating the shift to cleaner technologies.

Alexandre de Harlez, managing director of AERZEN North Africa, reaffirmed the company’s growing local footprint and commitment to rapid, customized support for Egyptian projects.

A packed high-level panel, “Nationalization of Water Industries and Investment Opportunities in Egypt’s Water Sector”, moderated by AERZEN’s President of Corporate Affairs Félix Meyer-Horn, explored industrial localization and investment priorities.

Meyer-Horn hailed Egypt-Germany cooperation as a global benchmark for environmental innovation, now supercharged by the new EU–Egypt strategic partnership.

With more than 100 exhibitors and 10 expert sessions, IWWI Cairo 2025 solidifies its role as the region’s premier platform for technology transfer, public-private partnerships, and actionable solutions to Egypt’s pressing water challenges, turning sustainability goals into on-the-ground reality.
