eFinance, the fintech leader company affiliated with eFinance Investment Group, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Salesforce, the world’s #1 AI CRM, to collaborate on building Egypt’s first Agentic AI-powered API and interoperability platform.

Under this collaboration, eFinance and Salesforce will jointly develop a centralised national API gateway that connects financial systems, tax platforms, citizen services, and public-sector data infrastructures. The platform will leverage MuleSoft, Salesforce’s leading integration, automation, and API management technology, providing a single, modern layer for secure connectivity across government entities. By using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, eFinance will be able to move faster, drive composability and reuse, and scale new digital services more efficiently across ministries. MuleSoft Agent Fabric will also provide the foundation to govern and orchestrate every AI agent  for future agentic AI use cases, enabling Egypt to build intelligent, automated, and citizen-centric public services over time.

The MoU, under the patronage of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, was signed during Cairo ICT 2025, and attended by

●          Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman and CEO of eFinance Investment Group

●          Hossam El-Goly, CEO of eFinance

●          Mohammed Alkhotani, SVP/GM – Middle East, Salesforce

●          Mohamed Hegazy, Account Lead – Egypt, Salesforce

“This strategic collaboration represents a major step forward in Egypt’s digital transformation roadmap. By combining eFinance’s national infrastructure with Salesforce’s trusted AI capabilities and expertise, we are strengthening the foundations for a fully integrated digital government by 2030,” said Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman & CEO of eFinance Investment Group. “The unified API gateway will allow government entities to exchange data securely, automate services, improve operational efficiency, and deliver a seamless, intelligent experience for citizens, all aligned with Egypt’s vision for a smart, secure, and digitally unified state.”

Egypt’s digital agenda is now focused on building intelligent public services, enabling secure data exchange, and creating the foundations for agentic cities and communities, where technology, data, and AI work together to make everyday services faster, more accessible, and more personalized. This partnership directly supports that vision by laying the groundwork for a more connected, responsive digital government.

“We are proud to partner with eFinance to help accelerate Egypt’s national digital agenda,” said Mohammed Alkhotani, SVP/GM Middle East, Salesforce. “Our goal is to bring trusted AI, strong governance, and agentic capabilities into the heart of government operations, empowering public- and private-sector teams with the insights, automation, and intelligence they need to serve citizens and customers more effectively. Our focus is to support national efforts to deliver secure, seamless, and intelligent public services that empower communities and enhance the digital experience for every citizen.”

eFinance, which since 2005 has played a central role in Egypt’s digital payments evolution by operating the government’s financial network and managing critical national transactions, brings unmatched public-sector infrastructure and expertise to this partnership. Together, Salesforce and eFinance are combining national-scale capabilities with global AI and CRM leadership to advance Egypt’s digital government journey. This collaboration also aligns with Salesforce’s broader expansion across the Middle East, where the company is working with governments and enterprises to modernize services, elevate customer experience, and build the foundations for AI-powered, interoperable communities. With Egypt as a key focus within this regional strategy, Salesforce remains committed to supporting the country’s digital transformation and enabling next-generation public services for citizens, businesses, and government institutions.
