The ICT Minister stressed that the banking sector is one of the most important sectors in the country. The importance of this protocol lies in achieving integration with this important sector to provide digital services to citizens with high efficiency and in a manner that contributes to saving time and effort. This comes within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between MCIT and all state sectors to build Digital Egypt and achieve the transformation into an integrated digital society.
Talaat stated that the cooperation between MCIT and Banque Misr will contribute to motivating citizens to use digital means and electronic payments and contribute to strengthening the national efforts to achieve financial inclusion.
The Chairman of Banque Misr confirmed that the cooperation reflects the keenness of Banque Misr to provide and make the best services and e-payments available to different segments of society and to expand the provision of digital services to its customers. This aims at facilitating the payment process for Egyptian citizens, which further contributes to improving the provision of banking and financial services, and benefiting from the new promising ways of development, in addition to contributing to achieving the goals of financial inclusion. It also allows Banque Misr to obtain several Government-to-Government (G2G) services through establishing API integration between the Digital Egypt platform after concluding legal agreements with each governmental unit or concerned ministry.
