Egypt Post Chairman Sharif Farouk said the activities of the forum of the Arab Permanent Postal Committee (APPC) in Sharm el Sheikh witnesses wide international and regional participation.
The forum, held on May 31-June 3, witnessed wide participation of Arab postal delegations and major postal figures.
Farouk said the meetings of the committee tackled a number of important issues topped by the importance of digital transformation and e-commerce in addition to financial inclusion in the future of the postal services presented in the Arab world.
The event also discussed the most important issues on the agenda of the 27th conference of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) due in Ivory Coast, he said.
Egypt Post is working on investing this important event to promote for supporting the Egyptian candidate in the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) elections due in Zimbabwe in July, he added.
Hosting the meetings of the committee reflects that Egypt is a pioneer in the field of presenting different postal services at the regional and international levels, Farouk said.
