CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Terre des Hommes (TDH) France to establish eight digital community centers for training Egyptians and refugees at youth centers.

This agreement comes as part of a project funded by the UN Refugee Agency in Egypt to develop the capacity of refugee communities.

In his speech, the sports minister said his ministry strives to qualify young people for the labor market, asserting that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pays great attention to young people in the comprehensive development process.

Sobhi added the Youth and Sports Ministry seeks to establish partnerships with several international organizations to provide training opportunities for youth.

On his part, Pablo Mateu, the UNHCR Representative to Egypt said the Egyptian government works to cooperate with UN organisations to protect youth from bad phenomena.

He added the eight community centers would be equipped with modern methods to keep pace with digital education around the world.
