Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said Sunday that his ministry is keen on cooperation with friendly countries in implementing programs in the fields of youth and sports exchanges.
During a meeting with a host of Asian ambassadors and diplomats in Cairo, the minister discussed mechanisms of cooperation between the ministry and Asian countries to broaden vistas of cooperation in the coming period.
Minister Sobhi hailed relations binding Egypt and various Asian countries to deepen cooperation upon the directives of the political leadership.
The minister reviewed with the Asian diplomats Egypt’s national strategy towards grooming youth in several fields including entrepreneurship, health, sport exercise and governance.
He pointed out that a number of workshops and dialogues were held in various governorate to expound the youth development strategy and tackle the participation of youth in the UN climate change conference, COP27, due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November.
The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Japan, Mongolia, Cambodia and Tajikistan as well as diplomats from Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, The Philippines, Pakistan, India, Myanmar, South Korea and Nepal.
