Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi met on Sunday with Ms. Blanca Valdivilso, the representative of La Liga (the Spanish football league) for several countries in the region.
This meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss how to work together to improve football in Egypt and find new, young football stars.

The Minister wants to use La Liga’s expertise to help Egyptian players become professionals.

Minister Sobhi stressed that this partnership is crucial for creating a strong system to discover talent that meets international standards.

He noted that La Liga has vast experience in finding and preparing young players for global professionalism, which is a big technical advantage for Egypt’s development plans.

He added that the government is focusing on investing in young people and giving fair opportunities to all young Egyptians to show their abilities and reach the highest levels of football.

Ms. Valdivilso confirmed that La Liga is committed to expanding this partnership in the future.
She said La Liga is interested in growing its presence in the Middle East and North Africa and is eager to share its knowledge to support Egypt’s long-term sports goals.
