Sports Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhi is backing Egypt’s national volleyball team as they fight for a spot in the next round of the FIVB World Championship in Manila.
Sobhi spoke by phone with Yasser Qamar, President of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, to check on the team’s final preparations. He praised the players’ spirit and determination, calling their performances “a reflection of Egypt’s sporting pride.”
Egypt sits level on points with the Philippines, Tunisia, and Iran in Group A after two rounds, leaving everything to play for.
The Pharaohs now face a must-win showdown against Tunisia on Thursday
