Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greatly supports youth in different sectors and values their sustainable role in building the Egyptian State.
Sobhi made the remarks during his participation Sunday in the opening session of the first conference of the Senate simulation model, which is held under the motto “Egyptian political and economic reality (visions – opportunities-challenges)”.
Around 300 young members are taking part in the Senate simulation model, which runs till August 16.
The sports minister added that simulation models aim to qualify a new generation of young people who are aware of the important role of parliaments.
He stated the political leadership is keen on promoting the culture of political participation among all segments of the society, notably youth.
Sobhi explained his ministry pays great attention to backing young entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, given that this sector is a mainstay of the national economy, and acts as a catalyst for building a competitive and sustainable economy based on innovation and knowledge.
The conference sheds light on the participants’ opinions about the current political and economic situation in the country and gives them a chance to positively interact with experts and specialists in order to boost their confidence to act like senators.
