CAIRO – Pyramids FC solidified their top spot in the Egyptian Premier League with a win over Al-Ittihad of Alexandria Stadium in round 16.

At Alexandria Stadium, striker Ibrahim Adel (45’), winger Mostafa Fathi (56’), and Congolese striker Fiston Mayele (76’) netted for Pyramids, while Nigerian forward Emmanuel Apeh (79’) pulled one back for Al-Ittihad.

A Ramadan Sobhi goal was disallowed after VAR review.

With this win, Pyramids lead the standings with 39 points, three ahead of Al-Ahly and 10 clear of third-placed Zamalek. Al-Ittihad of Alexandria remained 12th with 18 points.

At the Suez Canal Authority Stadium, Ceramica Cleopatra cruised past Petrojet 4-1, moving up to sixth place with 24 points.

Ceramica’s goals came from central midfielder Islam Eissa in the 9th minute, left winger Mahmoud Zalaka in the 37th minute, Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kendouci in the 40th minute, and midfielder Mohamed Reda in the 82nd minute.

Petrojet’s lone goal was scored by Senegalese center-forward Ismaila Bamba netted Petrojet’s sole goal in the 11th minute.

Petrojet stayed in 11th place with 19 points.

Ghazl el-Mahalla ended their winless streak in style, defeating Enppi 3-0 at El-Mahalla Stadium.

Tunisian forward Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda opened the scoring for El-Mahalla in the 22nd minute, followed by right winger Abdo Yehia’s goal in the 48th minute. Midfielder Ahmed Fawzi secured the team’s third goal in the 80th minute.

Enppi had a chance to reduce the deficit, but right winger Ahmed Nader Hawash missed a late penalty in the 89th minute.

With this result, El-Mahalla’s tally rose to 17 points, placing them 13th in the standings with five wins, two draws, and nine losses.

Enppi, meanwhile, dropped into 17th place with 12 points, having recorded two wins, six draws, and eight losses.

At Cairo International Stadium, El-Gouna secured a hard-fought 3-2 win over Modern Sport in their encounter.

Nigerian winger Tolulope Samuel Ojo starred for El-Gouna, scoring twice in the 13th and 22nd minutes, while his compatriot, left winger Favour Akem, extended the lead with a goal in the 49th minute.

Modern Sport mounted a late comeback attempt, with striker Ahmed Atef finding the net in the 72nd and 83rd minutes, but they ultimately fell short of salvaging a point.

With this win, El-Gouna climbed to 16 points, moving up to 15th place in the standings, while Modern Sport remained at the bottom with 9 points.

Pharco FC claimed a 2-0 victory over Ismaili in their league clash at Ismailia Stadium.

With this win, Pharco moved up to eighth place with 22 points, while Ismaili stayed in 16th place with 13 points.

The breakthrough came in the 66th minute when defensive midfielder Yassin el-Mallah capitalized on a long throw-in from the left side. A failed clearance by Ismaili’s defense allowed El-Mallah to unleash a powerful strike into the top right corner.

Just three minutes later, left-back Azmi Ghouma doubled the lead in the 69th minute, receiving the ball inside the penalty area before slotting a precise shot into the left corner of the net.
