National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Pharco FC claimed victories in their opening matches of the Egyptian Premier League Monday as Smouha and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria held to draw.
At Petrosport Stadium in Cairo, National Bank of Egypt (NBE) defeated Talae el-Geish 3-0.
The NBE’s goals came from left winger Moussa Diawara in the 4th minutes as attacking midfielder Mohamed Hilal scored the second and the third in the 79th, 90+6 minutes.
The victory pushed NBE to collect their first three points in the Egyptian Premier League.
At the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo, newcomer Pharco FC stunned Future FC 1-0 to claim their first three points in the Egyptian Premier League.
The game sole goal came from right winger Aymen Sfaxi in the 67th minutes.
Meanwhile, Smouha held to a 4-4 draw against Al-Ittihad of Alexandria at Alexandria Stadium.
Smouha’s Nigerian winger Seddik Kalaba opened the scoring in the 12th minutes as striker Marwan Hamdi added the second in the 18th minutes.
Left-back Mohamed Shoukry added the third for Smouha in the 38th minutes while left-winger Hussein Faisal scored the fouth for his side in the 53rd minutes.
Al-Ittihad of Alexandria goals came from central midfielder Karim el-Dieb in the 49th minutes from a penalty kick.
Left winger Fawzi el-Hennawi made it 4-2 in the 73rd minutes as Burkinabe midfielder Saidou Simpore closed the gap in the 89th minutes.
Then Ittihad of Alexandria’s Angolan striker Agostinho Mabululu snatched the equaliser in in the third minute of the stoppage time.
Both Alexandrian teams Al-Ittihad and Smouha have collected their first point in the Egyptian Premier League.
