CAIRO – NBE Club secured a crucial 2–1 victory over ZED FC, while Ceramica Cleopatra and Al-Masry of Port Said shared the spoils in their fourth-round fixtures of the 2024–25 Egypt Capital Cup.
Ceramica 1–1 Al-Masry
Ceramica Cleopatra and Al-Masry played out a 1–1 draw at the New Suez Stadium in their Group B encounter.

Al-Masry took an early lead through striker Karim Bambo, who found the back of the net in the 11th minute.
Ceramica’s task became even more difficult when midfielder Mohamed Touni was shown a red card in the 78th minute, leaving his side with ten men.
Despite the setback, Ceramica fought back, and Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kendouci struck an 86th-minute equalizer to salvage a point.

The result keeps both sides in contention for a place in the quarter-finals, with Ceramica now sitting third in Group B and Al-Masry in fourth.
NBE Club 2–1 ZED FC
NBE Club clinched a 2–1 victory over ZED FC in a closely contested match held at Cairo International Stadium, also in the tournament’s fourth round.

Centre-back Saidou Simpore opened the scoring for NBE Club in the 32nd minute, but ZED FC responded through striker Shadi Hussein, who converted a penalty in the 40th minute to level the score.
In the 82nd minute, Togolese winger Yaw Annor netted the decisive goal, securing three valuable points for NBE Club.

With this win, NBE Club climbed to the top of Group B with five points, putting them in a strong position to advance to the quarter-finals.
After the fourth round, NBE Club leads Group B with five points, closely followed by Ghazl El-Mahalla and Ceramica Cleopatra, who are tied on four points each. Al-Masry sits in fourth place with three points, while ZED FC remains at the bottom of the group with a single point.

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, where the competition shifts to a knockout format.
The tournament adopts a knockout format starting from the quarter-finals, with home-and-away fixtures leading up to the final, where the champion will be crowned.
Tournament format and groups
The 2024–25 Egypt Capital Cup features 18 participating clubs divided into four groups.
Group A includes Zamalek, El-Gouna, Petrojet, Modern Sport, and Smouha.
Group B consists of Ceramica Cleopatra, Al-Masry, ZED FC, NBE Club, and Ghazl El-Mahalla.
Group C features Al-Ahly, Talae el-Geish, Enppi, and Pharco FC.
Group D comprises Pyramids FC, Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, Ismaily, and Haras el-Hodoud.
Key dates
The group stage is set to conclude on April 16. The quarter-finals will follow a home-and-away format, with the first-leg scheduled for April 22–23 and the second-leg on May 20–21.

The semi-finals will also be played over two legs, with the first-leg taking place on June 7 and the second on June 10.
The tournament will culminate with the final match on Saturday, June 14.
