Morocco comfortably defeated Cameroon 2-0 in the quarterfinals to secure a spot in the AFCON 2025 semifinals.

Morocco did not disappoint their home crowd at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, comfortably defeating Cameroon 2-0 in the AFCON 2025 quarterfinals. With this result, the Atlas Lions advanced to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the match between Algeria and Nigeria.

Under the pressure of being the host nation, Morocco faced no major difficulties during the match, appearing comfortable from start to finish. The first goal came in the 26th minute of the first half, when Brahim Diaz deflected the ball following a header from El Kaabi to give his team the lead.

Cameroon failed to create almost any truly dangerous situations for their opponent, who took advantage in the second half to extend the lead. Following a corner kick in the 73rd minute, Ismael Saibari was left unmarked and sealed the match for Morocco with a powerful shot.

With the scoreboard in their favor and the match decided, Morocco focused on solid defending, preventing Cameroon from creating any threats. The host nation will now face either Nigeria or Algeria on January 14, where they will seek a spot in the grand final.
