Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi congratulated national shooting team player Hala Gohari on snatching gold medal at the African Shooting Championships in Egypt, qualifying for the Paris Olympics.
Egypt is currently hosting the African Shooting Championship. The 10-day competition, which runs from 1 to 10 October, is a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The championship is at the shooting range of the Egypt International Olympic City.
Egypt is taking part with 58 shooters 30 men and 28 women.
Gohari succeeded in qualifying for the Paris Olympics, after winning the first place and snatching the gold medal in the 10-metre air rifle competition on Tuesday.
She has become shooting gun player miracle, occupying Egypt’s fourth rank at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, besides Azmi Mahilab, Rimas Khalil and Mohamed Hamdi.
The minister lauded distinguished performance of the Egyptian national team players taking part in the African Shooting Championship, which is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Sobhi stressed support for Gohari and praised her strong will and determination to win many titles and medals in favour of her country.
