Technical inspections for the 2026 Hail Toyota International Rally officially commenced early this morning at the designated headquarters of the Saudi Arabian Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. These mandatory evaluations are a critical step in the final preparations before the competitive stages of the rally begin. Specialised technical teams are currently processing various categories to ensure every entry aligns with the international standards required for high-stakes off-road racing.
The inspection process covers a total of 109 participants, including 40 vehicles in the international category, 33 in the national category, and 36 competitors in the motorcycle and quad classes.
Each vehicle is being scrutinized according to the strict regulations set by the FIA and FIM.
These checks focus heavily on mechanical integrity and the implementation of essential safety protocols to protect drivers throughout the challenging desert terrain.
To ensure efficiency, the technical committee has established three dedicated inspection tracks tailored to international, local, and motorcycle entries. Officials are conducting comprehensive reviews of vehicle components, verifying engine specifications, and matching weights against official requirements.
The final results of these inspections, along with the official list of qualified starters, are scheduled to be released later this evening.
