CAIRO — The fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League delivered high drama as Pyramids FC stunned defending champions Al-Ahly 2-0 and Enppi surged into the top four with a commanding win. Ghazl El-Mahalla broke their winless run with their first victory of the season, ZED and El-Gouna shared the spoils, and Ceramica Cleopatra battled their way to three points.
Pyramids 2–0 Al-Ahly
CAF Champions League holders Pyramids FC shocked league champions Al-Ahly with a 2-0 victory at Al-Salam Stadium in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Moroccan playmaker Walid El-Karti struck twice, opening the scoring in the fifth minute after pouncing on a rebound from left-back Karim Hafez’s free-kick, before sealing the win with a powerful header in the 68th minute past Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy.
Al-Ahly, under Spanish coach Jose Riveiro, failed to find their rhythm despite a flurry of second-half changes, extending a disappointing run that has produced only one victory in seven outings under his charge, with four draws and two defeats.

The Red Devils kicked off their domestic campaign with a 2-2 stalemate against Modern Sport before cruising to a 4-1 triumph over Pharco FC. However, their momentum stalled again last week as they were held to a goalless draw by Ghazl El-Mahalla in the fourth round.

Pyramids FC moved up to third on eight points, while Al-Ahly dropped to 12th with just five.
Enppi 3–0 Al-Ittihad
Enppi cruised past Al-Ittihad of Alexandria with a convincing 3-0 victory at Alexandria Stadium.
Forward Ahmed Zaki broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, before right winger Mohamed Sherif doubled the lead midway through the second half. Midfielder Mody Nasser sealed the win in the 84th minute.
The result lifted Enppi to fourth on eight points, leaving Al-Ittihad 18th with four.
El-Mahalla 3–0 Ismaily
Ghazl El-Mahalla earned their first win of the campaign with a resounding 3-0 triumph over Ismaily at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium.

Tunisian winger Rached Arfaoui fired in a thunderous opener in the 37th minute, before winger Mohamed Grendo doubled the advantage midway through the second half. DR Congo forward Kibou Saidi wrapped up the scoring in the 88th minute to seal a comprehensive victory.

The victory moved El-Mahalla up to sixth with seven points, while Ismaily dropped to 17th on four.
ZED 1–1 El-Gouna
ZED FC and El-Gouna shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Khaled Beshara Stadium.
Left winger Abdelrahman El-Banouby put ZED ahead in the 82nd minute, but the hosts were denied victory when defender Ali Gamal turned the ball into his own net in stoppage time.

ZED sit ninth on six points, with El-Gouna a place behind on goal difference.
NBE 0–0 El-Geish
NBE Club and Talae El-Geish settled for a goalless draw at Al-Salam Stadium.
The hosts dominated the first half, squandering chances through striker Osama Faisal and Togolese winger Yao Anwar, while El-Geish posed little threat.
The draw leaves NBE in 16th on four points, with El-Geish 14th on five.
Ceramica 1–0 Contractors
Ceramica Cleopatra edged Arab Contractors 1-0 in their fifth-round clash at Contractors Stadium.

Veteran midfielder Amr El-Sulaya struck early, firing home in the fourth minute to secure all three points.
Ceramica dominated proceedings despite being reduced to 10 men after midfielder Amr Kalawa’s 18th-minute dismissal via VAR review.

The victory lifted Ceramica to eighth on seven points, while Contractors remained 20th with just two.
