At Petrosport Stadium in Cairo, Ghazl el-Mahalla defeated newcomer Eastern Company SC 3-2.
Right winger Abdo Yehia opened the scoring for Ghazl el-Mahalla in the 27th minutes as centre-forward player Ahmed Ghoniem added the second in the 32nd minutes.
Then winger Hesham Adel scored the winner in the 45+4 minutes.
Eastern Company’s goals came from left-back player Ahmed Moteb in the 35th minutes and right winger Mohamed Hassan scored the second for the newcomer club in the 75th minutes.
The result pushed Ghazl el-Mahalla to 5th place with 4 points from 2 matches as Eastern Company SC remained winless this season at 15th place from 2 matches.
At Borg el-Arab Stadium in Alexandria, Al-Masry of Port Said was held to a goalless draw against Smouha in the same week.
The draw kept Smouha in 12th place with 2 points from 2 matches as Al-Masry of Port Said remained at 13th place with 2 points from 2 matches.
At Cairo’s Military Academy Stadium, Misr el-Maqassa beat El-Gouna 2-0.
El-Maqassa’s goals came from midfielder Kareem Salah in the 46th minutes as centre-forward player Ahmed Sabeha added the second in the 84th minutes.
The victory pushed Misr el-Maqassa to 7th place with 3 points from 2 matches as El-Gouna remained at 14th place with 1 point from 2 matches.
Pyramids FC stunned newcomer Pharco FC 2-1 at Alexandria Stadium.
Centre-forward player Mahmoud Wadi scored the first for Pyramids in the 69th minutes as playmaker Abdallah el-Said added the second from a penalty spot in the 85th minutes.
Pharco’s defender Rami Sabri converted a penalty in the 95th minutes to make it 2-1.
