CAIRO – Egyptian Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi confirmed keenness on supporting efforts exerted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to raise awareness about hazards of stimulants for athletes, according to a statement by the ministry on Saturday.
Coordination is under way between officials from WADA and the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization (EGY-NADO) regarding arrangements for hosting meetings of the executive office and the board of WADA, said the statement.
The statement added Sobhy held a meeting with the organizing committee for WADA meetings via videoconferencing to discuss preparations for hosting its meetings by Egypt next May and the meeting with WADA’s representatives late this month.
