CAIRO – Egypt’s Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy has met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, on the sidelines of attending the World Cup group D soccer match between Tunisia and France in Qatar.
The FIFA president welcomed the attendance of the sports minister in a number of World Cup matches, as part of an official invitation directed to him, the sports ministry said in a statement.
For his part, the sports minister hailed the superb performance of the various teams participating in the prestigious sporting competition.
He also wished all players the very best of luck during this global tournament.
