LONDON — Omar Marmoush was on target for Manchester City but Pep Guardiola’s side could only manage a 2-2 draw against Brighton in the English Premier League.
Speaking after the game, Marmoush reflected on how he’s adapted since moving to the Etihad Stadium. “The players and the staff are amazing here”.
“I’m just trying to learn everything that I can and listen to the coach and everything that he tells us.

Marmoush said after the game that he’s trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible from his team-mates and coaches at City.
The Egyptian forward was the Man of the Match in a pulsating 2-2 home draw with Brighton in the Premier League, winning a penalty that Erling Haaland converted before scoring a goal himself from outside the box.
That first-half finish marked his fourth City strike since arriving at the Club after an eye-catching hat-trick against Newcastle United last month.
“I scored the goal against Brighton but in the end, it wasn’t enough for the three points so it’s not the best feeling. We’ll keep going,” Marmoush added according to Manchester City official website.
The result leaves City fifth in the Premier League with 48 points from 29 games.
With a host of the clubs challenging for next season’s Champions League places, Marmoush says City is determined to finish strongly and qualify for next season’s competition.
“It’s a challenge but we will do everything,” he said.
“We will put our head down and try to work as hard as we can. Always when we’re on pitch give 100 per cent and hopefully in the end, we will secure that place.
“We have to try show our quality more, have more confidence on the ball, keep the ball more and just do what Manchester City always did.”
As the match also represented our annual City in the Community takeover, Marmoush ended the interview by fielding a question from one lucky participant.
Marmoush was restored to the starting line-up and proved to be City’s brightest spark going forward.
The Egyptian won the penalty from which Haaland opened the scoring with his 29th goal of the season.
City’s lead lasted only 10 minutes as Estupinan curled a free-kick in off the post past the leaden-footed Stefan Ortega in the City goal.
Marmoush blasted City back in front from long range before halftime.
Brighton, though, took just three minutes into the second half to level again when Jack Hinshelwood’s shot was turned into his own net by Khusanov.
Nico Gonzalez hit the post as City pushed in vain for a winner, AFP reported.
A top-five Premier League finish will almost certainly secure a Champions League place this season thanks to English clubs’ strong performances in European competition.
Forest’s charge towards Europe’s top club competition for the first time since 1980 continued with a dominant display at Portman Road.
The visitors struck three times in six first-half minutes to close to within one point of second-placed Arsenal and six clear of City.
“I’m always confident, in that I am a master. I do have moments when I can doubt but I find the right way, the positiveness in everything,” said Guardiola.
“I know it will be difficult for many reasons but we have nine games, nine finals.”
Nikola Milenkovic controlled a loose ball inside the area and blasted in on off the underside of the bar to open the floodgates.
