CAIRO – Pyramids FC ended the first phase of the 2024–2025 Egyptian Premier League on top of the table with a 2-1 win over Ceramica Cleopatra in the 17th and final round at Air Defense Stadium.

Winger Mustafa Fathi opened the scoring from the spot before Algerian striker Ahmed Belhadj equalized. Moroccan right-back Mohamed Chibi sealed victory with a long-range strike.
With this result, Pyramids FC concluded the first phase atop the league table with 42 points, while Ceramica sat sixth with 24.

At Cairo International Stadium, Al-Ahly defeated Talae el-Geish 2-0, thanks to goals from Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar and midfielder Marwan Attia.
The defending champions are second with 39 points, three behind leaders Pyramids, while El-Geish stayed in mid-table with 21 points.

Zamalek secured their first win under Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro with a commanding 3-0 victory over Enppi at Arab Contractors Stadium.
Playmaker Abdullah el-Said scored twice, including a penalty, and striker Nasser Mansi added another. Zamalek moved to third place with 32 points, as Enppi dropped to 17th place with 12 points.
At the Military Academy Stadium in Cairo, Petrojet booked a spot in the tournament group with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Ghazl el-Mahalla.
Tunisian striker Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda gave El-Mahalla the lead early in the second half, but Petrojet responded through Senegalese forward Ismail Bamba, who equalized in the 69th minute. In the dying moments of stoppage time, Rashad el-Metwally converted a penalty to seal the win for Petrojet.
The victory moved Petrojet to eighth place with 22 points. El-Mahalla remained in 15th place with 17 points, continuing to battle in the relegation zone.

Ismaili and ZED FC played out a 2-2 draw at Cairo International Stadium in an evenly contested match.
Mostafa Saad ‘Messi’ opened the scoring for ZED FC in the 28th minute, but left winger Mohamed Khatary quickly responded with an equalizer for Ismaili six minutes later. Striker Marwan Hamdy gave Ismaili the lead in the 40th minute, before right-back Ali Gamal leveled the score for ZED FC in the 79th minute.

Following the draw, ZED FC moved up to 10th place with 21 points, while Ismaili remained in the relegation zone in 16th place with 14 points.
Smouha claimed a 1-0 win over Al-Ittihad of Alexandria in the Alexandria Derby, with Mostafa El-Badry scoring late. Smouha climbed to 12th with 20 points, as Al-Ittihad sit 13th with 18.

NBE Club edged Haras el-Hodood 2-1, with goals from Yao Anwar and Mahmoud el-Gazzar. Abdel-Rahman Gouda briefly leveled for Haras. NBE rose to fifth with 29 points, while Haras el-Hodood remained ninth with 22.
El-Gouna and Pharco FC played out a goalless draw in Alexandria, moving to 17 and 23 points respectively.

Al-Masry defeated Modern Sport 4-2 at New Suez Stadium, with Salah Mohsen netting a hat-trick and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef scoring a penalty. Mohamed Hilal and Mohamed Mossaad scored for Modern Sport.

Al-Masry moved up to fourth with 30 points, while Modern Sport stayed in the bottom with 9 points.
