CAIRO — In the 11th round of the 2024-2025 Egyptian Premier League season, Al-Ahly narrowed the points gap on leaders Pyramids FC, while Smouha, Pharco FC, and NBE Club also recorded victories.

At Al-Salam Stadium, Al-Ahly secured a 3-1 win over Modern Sport, closing the gap to one point behind leaders Pyramids
The match began with Al-Ahly dominating early on. In the 13th minute, Slovenian striker Gradisar, a January signing, opened the scoring with a shot from inside the 18-yard box that slipped past Modern Sport’s goalkeeper, Mahmoud Gennesh.

Emam Ashour doubled Al-Ahly’s lead in the 29th minute, converting a pass into a precise shot to the right of Gennesh.
Al-Ahly extended their advantage to 3-0 in the 39th minute, with Ashour scoring again, this time finishing a perfect cross from Gradisar with a deft touch over Gennesh, maintaining the lead into halftime.

Modern Sport pulled one back in the 75th minute when Cameroonian winger Arnold Eba capitalized on a defensive error and slid the ball under goalkeeper Moustafa Shobeir, making it 3-1.
At the Arab Contractors Stadium, Smouha triumphed 1-0 over Ceramica Cleopatra.

The decisive goal came in the 63rd minute when Moroccan winger Abdelkabir El-Ouadi converted a penalty, awarded by referee Mohamed El-Hanafy after a foul by Ceramica’s Ahmed Qandousi.
Both teams showcased strong performances, creating multiple scoring chances.

With this win, Smouha moved up to 11th place with 14 points, while Ceramica remained in 5th place with 19 points.
At the Air Defense Stadium, Pyramids FC strengthened their lead at the top of the Egyptian Premier League with a dominant 3-0 win over Zamalek.
Congolese forward Fiston Mayele opened the scoring in the 58th minute, followed by Mostafa Fathy’s goal in the 65th minute. Ibrahim Adel sealed the victory with a third goal in the 70th minute.

Pyramids now sit at the top with 24 points from 11 matches, while Zamalek remains third with 20 points from the same number of games.
NBE Club edged Enppi 1-0 at PetroSport Stadium, with striker Osama Faisal netting the winner in the 56th minute. The team went down to 10 men in the 68th after Hisham Salah saw red.

With the win, NBE Club moved up to seventh with 17 points from 11 matches, while Enppi remained 16th with seven.
At El-Max Stadium in Alexandria, Pharco FC edged Ghazl el-Mahalla 3-2.
Amr Nasser struck twice in the 15th and 83rd minutes, while Yassin Marai added a stoppage-time goal (90+2). Ghazl el-Mahalla responded through Emad Mayhoub (32′) and Abdelrahman Khaled (89′), but it was not enough to salvage a point.

Pharco moved up to ninth with 15 points from 11 matches, while Ghazl el-Mahalla remained 15th with eight.
At New Suez Stadium, Al-Masry of Port Said and ZED FC played to a 1-1 draw.
Striker Kareem Bambo put Al-Masry ahead in the 44th minute, but winger Abdel-Rahman el-Banouby equalized for ZED FC in the 55th minute.

With this result, Al-Masry moved up to fourth place with 19 points from 11 games, while ZED FC climbed to 12th place with 14 points from the same number of matches.
At the Military Academy Stadium, Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and Petrojet played to a goalless draw.
Despite sustained pressure, Al-Ittihad couldn’t break Petrojet’s solid defense, while Petrojet failed to capitalize on their chances.

With this result, Petrojet remained sixth with 17 points from 11 matches, while Al-Ittihad sat 13th with 14.
At Ismailia Stadium, Talae el-Geish defeated Ismaili 2-1, climbing to 10th place with 15 points from 11 matches. Ismaili remained in 14th with 12 points.
Ismaili took the lead in the sixth minute when Khaled Al-Nabris set up Marwan Hamdi for a cool finish.
In the 53rd minute, Godwin Chika equalized after a pass from Islam Mohareb. In the 88th minute, a handball by Ismaili’s Mohamed Hassan led to a penalty, which Ragab Omran converted to secure the win for Talae el-Geish.
El-Gouna suffered their sixth straight defeat in the Egyptian Premier League, losing 1-0 to Haras el-Hodood at home.

Abdel-Rahman Gouda secured the win with a stoppage-time goal (45+3).
Haras el-Hodood moved up to eighth with 15 points, while El-Gouna remained bottom with six.
