The Egyptian fencing team qualified to the quarter-finals of the Fencing World Championships held in Egypt on July 15-23 under the auspices of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The Egyptian team won against the Chilean team with a 45-24 score before being qualified to the 16th round and beating the Colombian team.
On Thursday, the Egyptian team will face their Italian rivals.
