ALEXANDRIA – Egypt’s national team snatched silver medals in the individual and team competitions of the World Modern Pentathlon Championships for youth under 17.
The championship takes place at the Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime Transport in the coastal city of Alexandria from September 13 to 19.
Egypt came second in the team competitions with 2,768 points, following Russia won the gold medal with 2,802 points, MENA reported.
In the individual competitions, Egypt’s Mohamed Sherif clinched the silver with 943 points, one point behind the gold medal winner.
