Egypt’s young squash stars have once again proven they are the best in the world after a massive victory at the 2026 British Junior Open.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi sent a special message to the team to celebrate this achievement.
He praised the players for their hard work and skill, noting that their success is a source of pride for the entire country.
He also promised that the government would continue to support these young athletes so they can stay at the top of the world rankings as they grow older.
The results across the different age groups were incredible.
In the Under-19 category, Seif El-Din Refaie took first place, while Adam Hawal and Malika Taymour also reached the podium.
The Under-17 and Under-15 divisions saw more gold medals thanks to champions like Farouk Mohamed, Habiba Rizk, Hassan Abdel Galil, and Layan Mostafa. These categories were filled with Egyptian names, often with teammates playing against each other in the finals.

The youngest players also showed great talent. Yahya Walid Rayan and Sereen Khamis won the Under-13 titles, while Hazem Mahmoud and Alia El-Nazer dominated the Under-11 category.
With so many players winning gold, silver, and bronze medals, Egypt showed the world that it has a new generation of champions ready to lead the sport for years to come.
