Minister of Youth and Sports, Gohar Nabil, met with the Spanish Ambassador to Egypt, Sergio Roman Carranza Forester, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting focused on building a stronger strategic partnership between the two countries, specifically targeting growth in youth programs and the sports industry.
During the discussion, Minister Nabil praised the long-standing friendship between Egypt and Spain.
He shared a personal connection to the country, noting that his career as a national handball player allowed him to work closely with many Spanish coaches and players over the years. This history of collaboration serves as a strong foundation for the new initiatives being planned.
The two sides reached an agreement to cooperate on sports investment, with a major focus on localizing the manufacturing of sports equipment.
By bringing Spanish expertise to Egypt, the Ministry aims to produce high-quality gear locally.
Additionally, both officials committed to launching new programs for youth development, viewing the younger generation as the primary drivers of the nation’s future.
Ambassador Forester expressed Spain’s strong desire to deepen ties with Egypt.
He confirmed that the Spanish government is ready to provide full support and technical resources to ensure the success of these joint projects in both the sports and youth sectors.
