CAIRO — The Egyptian national basketball team delivered a commanding 91-52 win over Uganda in the final match of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 African Qualifiers, hosted at the Borg El-Arab Arena in Alexandria.

With the victory, Egypt secured third place in Group D with 4 points, trailing Mali in first with 6 points and Angola in second with 5 points. Uganda concluded the group in fourth place with 3 points.
Now, everyone’s eyes are on the next round. The third window of qualifiers kicks off in July and will decide which teams move on to the final stage of the tournament.

Group D’s second window, held from February 26 to March 1 at Borg El-Arab Arena, brought some tough battles between Egypt, Angola, Uganda, and Mali – proof that African basketball just keeps getting more competitive.
