DOHA – A 5-4 penalties win over the Egyptian national team gave Qatar the bronze medal at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup on Saturday.
The Egyptian team will collect a $ 1.5-million reward, while Qatar will gain $2 million.

The match went into extra time at Doha’s Stadium 974 when several attempts at Egypt’s goal were stopped by Qatar’s brilliant goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham.
No goal was scored in the extra 30 minutes. In a dramatic penalty shootout that followed, Qatar won 5-4, with Barsham again the hero.
Striker Mohamed Sherif wasted the sixth penalty for Egypt.
