The Egyptian team reserved a seat in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup 2021, at the expense of its Jordanian counterpart, after winning it (3-1) after extending the meeting that brought them together on Saturday.
Jordanian striker Yazan Al-Nuaimat put the “Al-Nashma” goal in the lead with an early goal, which he scored at the 12th minute of the match, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area in the far right corner.
But the “Pharaohs” team responded with three consecutive goals through striker Marwan Hamdi, striker Ahmed Refaat and defender Marwan Daoud in the minutes (45, 99, 119), respectively, from the time of the meeting, which was held at Al Janoub Stadium in the Qatari city of Al Wakra.
The Egyptian team hit a date in the semi-finals of the tenth edition of the Arab Cup 2021 with its Tunisian counterpart, who reached the same round at the expense of the Oman team, by defeating them (2-1) in the other “African-Asian derby”, which brought them together on Friday.
