Egypt has delivered a solid performance in the opening round of the Doha International Equestrian Championship, with riders securing several podium finishes across multiple height categories.
On the opening day, the 130 cm class saw a notable display of depth, with Mohamed El-Shenawy securing a distinguished second-place finish.
He was closely followed by teammate Abdallah El-Haitham in third, while Nour Hazem and Ahmed Ragab further solidified the national standing by placing fifth and sixth, respectively.
The delegation’s success extended into the specialized height categories, where Egyptian riders claimed top honors.
Yassin Khalifa delivered a standout performance to capture first place in the 125 cm event, a feat mirrored by Youssef Farid, who secured first place in the 120 cm class. Additionally, Abdelrahman El-Shahed contributed to the day’s medal count with a strong second-place finish in the 110 cm category.
These initial results represent a confident and disciplined start for the Egyptian athletes, setting a high standard for the remainder of the competition. As the championship progresses into the second day and beyond—highlighted by Mohamed El-Shenawy’s subsequent victory in the 135 cm category—the delegation continues to demonstrate technical excellence and steady progress in its pursuit of international honors.
