Egypt drawn in a tough group for Tokyo Olympics 1 - Egyptian Gazette

Tokyo Olympics football draw resulted in Egypt falling into very tough group.

The Egyptian national Olympic team came in Group C next to Spain, Argentina and Australia.

The competition groups are as follows:

Group A: Japan – South Africa – Mexico – France

Group B: New Zealand – South Korea – Honduras – Romania

Group C: Egypt – Spain – Argentina – Australia

Group D: Brazil – Germany – Cote d’Ivoire – Saudi Arabia

 

The Egyptian national Olympic team opens its confrontations with Spain, who won Olympics 92 gold medal.

Egypt’s first match will be held on Thursday, July 22, against Spain.

The second match of the Pharaohs is no less difficult, as they face Argentina, the gold-medalist, in 2004 and 2008 rounds.

The Pharaohs will play Argentina on Sunday, July 25 at the same stadium.

The Egyptian national team concludes its confrontations on Wednesday, July 28.

The first and second of each group qualify for the quarter-finals.

 

Egypt  vs Spain (July 22) 9:30 am

Egypt vs Argentina (July 25) 9:30 am

Australia vs Egypt (July 28) 1 pm
