ROME — Egypt’s national karate team put on quite a show at the World League in Rome, securing four hard-fought medals against a strong field of international competitors.

The Egyptian squad picked up two silver and two bronze medals, underlining the country’s continued presence among the sport’s global elite.
Adel Amara grabbed a silver medal in the men’s -67 kg kumite, while Al-Hassan Awad added another silver in the +84 kg division.
Omar Ashraf chipped in a bronze in the kumite -84 kg category, and Ahlam Hamdi snagged another bronze in the kumite -55 kg division.

Egypt’s strong showing was not limited to medal winners. Abdullah Hesham finished fifth in the kumite -75 kg category, while Hadeer Hindi secured fifth place in the kumite -68 kg division.
The performances in Italy showed once again that Egypt’s karate athletes’ ability to compete at the highest level in major international tournaments.
