CAIRO — Canal SC is back in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2026/2027 season, following a 2-0 victory over Masaar FC on Friday in the 28th round of the Professional League (Second Division).
The Ismailia-based side dominated from start to finish, turning their chances into goals and wrapping up promotion with six rounds still to go.

This marks Canal SC’s return to the top flight after a 12-year absence, having been relegated at the end of the 2013-2014 season.
With this triumph, Canal SC becomes the first team to clinch a spot in next season’s Premier League.
The race for the remaining two promotion spots remains intense, as three teams will go up, two will get relegated to the Second Division, and four top-tier clubs are still scrapping to avoid dropping out.

The Egyptian Football Association extended congratulations to Canal SC’s board, players, and fans on their official return to the Egyptian League.
