Following federation elections, Sports Minister Sobhi convened a meeting with Olympic Committee President Idris and sports federation leaders to discuss unified strategies.
Minister Sobhi commended the ongoing co-operation between the Ministry and the EOC, which includes monitoring the federations’ plans and the upcoming competitions in which their athletes will participate.
He emphasised the importance of implementing comprehensive development strategies for the sports sector, particularly for national teams across all disciplines, to achieve more victories for Egyptian sports.
He stressed the importance of meeting the aspirations of a nation by delivering championships and medals that bring joy to Egypt.
Sobhi also highlighted the Ministry’s numerous national projects aimed at discovering and nurturing new, highly skilled talents. According to him, these efforts are dedicated to supporting sports federations in various disciplines, ensuring the best athletes are selected to represent Egypt’s national teams across all age categories.
For his part, Idris expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s unprecedented positive role in ensuring that the recent elections within sports federations were conducted in a manner that upheld the integrity of the sports system.
He further emphasised the full coordination between the EOC, sports federations, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
