Al-Ahly 0-0 El Mahalla

Defending champions Al-Ahly dropped more points as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghazl El-Mahalla at El-Mahalla Stadium in the fourth round of the league. After three matches, the Cairo giants have already conceded four points.

With the stalemate, Al-Ahly sits fifth with five points, while El-Mahalla climbs to 12th with four points.

Al-Ahly kicked off their season with a 2-2 draw against Modern Sport at Cairo International Stadium, followed by a commanding 4-1 victory over Pharco FC in the second round.

The Cairo giants dominated possession from the start and created multiple chances. Winger Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” tested El-Mahalla’s goalkeeper Amer Amer with a header in the fourth minute, and left winger Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet’s long-range effort in the eighth was tipped over for a corner.

Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan and Zizo wasted clear chances in the 18th and 25th minutes, while El-Mahalla’s right winger Mohamed Grendo’s crucial clearance and the post denied Trezeguet later in the match.

Despite repeated pressure, Al-Ahly could not break the deadlock.

Al-Ahly will look to bounce back when they face Pyramids FC in the fifth round on August 30.

Modern 2-1 Pyramids FC

Pyramids FC suffered their first league defeat of the season, going down 2-1 to Modern Sport at the Air Defense Stadium in week four.

Pyramids dropped four points in the first three rounds of the League, recording just one win and two draws.

Modern Sport took control early, with midfielders Ghanam Mohamed and Ali Fawzi scoring in the 10th and 59th minutes. Pyramids FC pulled one back in stoppage time when left-back Karim Hafez converted a penalty, but it wasn’t enough to salvage a point.

The game also saw Pyramids’ Moroccan right-back Mohamed El-Chibi sent off in the 83rd minute, ruling him out of the upcoming clash with Al-Ahly.

Degla 2-1 ZED FC

Wadi Degla secured their first league win of the season with a 2-1 victory over ZED FC at the Arab Contractors Stadium.

Degla opened the scoring in the 38th minute thanks to an own goal from ZED Mauritanian midfielder Maata Magasa.

ZED FC responded late in the first half, with striker Ahmed Atef equalizing in stoppage time. However, Degla regained the lead through a penalty converted by Ali Hussein, sealing all three points.

Petrojet 1-0 Contractors

Petrojet secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Arab Contractors at Petro Sport Stadium.

Omar Reda’s 79th-minute strike secured all three points for Petrojet, moving them up to eight points, while Arab Contractors stayed 20th with just two.

Enppi 0-0 Gouna

Enppi and El-Gouna played out a goalless draw at Petro Sport Stadium.

Al-Ittihad 0-0 NBE Club

Al-Ittihad Alexandria was held to a goalless draw by NBE Club in their fourth-round clash at the Alexandria Stadium.

Al-Ittihad moved up to 15th with four points, while NBE Club edged up to 18th with three.

Chances were scarce in a first half of limited attacking threat, and despite tactical changes from Al-Ittihad coach Ahmed Sami and NBE counterpart Tarek Mostafa, neither side could find a breakthrough after the restart, leaving the spoils shared.
