CAIRO – The 20th round of the Egyptian Premier League delivered thrilling encounters. Al-Ahly played out a 1-1 draw with ZED FC, while Ceramica Cleopatra shared the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate with Wadi Degla. Ismaily fell 2-1 to El-Gouna, and Talae El-Geish narrowly defeated Haras El-Hodood 1-0.
After these fixtures, Zamalek maintains its grip atop the table with 37 points, closely followed by Pyramids FC, also on 37. Sunday’s clash between the two title contenders will be a showdown to determine the league leader.
Al-Ahly 1-1 ZED FC
Al-Ahly was held to a 1-1 draw by ZED FC at Cairo International Stadium. ZED’s playmaker, Moustafa Saad ‘Messi’, opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a slick strike through the legs of goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy.

Al-Ahly responded late as Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ capitalised on a mistake by ZED keeper Ali Lotfi, firing home the equaliser in the 89th minute.
Al-Ahly now sits third with 37 points, while ZED rises to seventh with 26.
Ceramica 1-1 Degla
Ceramica Cleopatra secured a last-gasp draw against Wadi Degla. Hussein El-Sayed put Wadi Degla ahead in the 60th minute, but Ayman Moka struck back in stoppage time to earn Ceramica a point.

Ceramica remains fourth with 37 points from 19 games, while Wadi Degla sits sixth with 28 points.
El-Gouna 2-1 Ismaily
El-Gouna claimed a dramatic 2-1 win at Ismaily Stadium. Abdel Karim Mostafa gave Ismaily the lead with a 20th-minute penalty, but Saber El-Shimi equalised in the 89th minute.
Nour El-Sayed sealed the victory with a stoppage-time penalty. El-Gouna moves to 10th with 24 points; Ismaily lingers at the bottom with 11.
El-Geish 1-0 El-Hodood
Talae El-Geish edged Haras El-Hodood at the Military Sports Complex Stadium. Ragab Omran scored early in the 4th minute, and the goal proved decisive.

Haras El-Hodood sits 17th with 17 points, while El-Geish climbs to 18th with 16 points.
