CAIRO — Al-Ahly, Haras El-Hodood and Modern Sport picked up their first victories of the 2025–26 Egyptian Premier League season in the second round, overcoming Pharco FC, NBE Club and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria respectively. Kahraba Ismailia, meanwhile, battled back from two goals down to hold Petrojet 2–2.

Al-Ahly 4-1 Pharco
Al-Ahly claimed their first league victory of the season with a commanding 4–1 triumph over Pharco FC at Cairo International Stadium in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Striker Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a close-range header, before new signing Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” doubled the lead in the 21st minute with his first official goal for the Red Devils.

Al-Ahly dominated the half, with Malian midfielder Aliou Yang testing the Pharco defence but firing narrowly over.
Right-winger Zizo struck again in the 58th minute to make it 3–0, before Pharco pulled one back through midfielder Mohamed Fakhry in the 70th minute, capitalising on a defensive mix-up between right-back player Mohamed Hani and goalkeeper Moustafa Shobeir.

But substitute Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar restored Al-Ahly’s three-goal cushion in the 81st minute after rounding the keeper to seal the victory.
The win moved Al-Ahly to four points, placing them second behind Al-Masry of Port Said, who leads the table, and also marked the first official win under new Spanish coach Jose Ribeiro.
El-Hodood 1–0 NBE
Haras El-Hodood earned their first win of the season with a 1–0 victory over NBE Club at Max Stadium in Alexandria.
Right-winger Ahmed El-Sheikh netted the decisive goal in the 25th minute, unleashing a powerful strike from outside the box that beat goalkeeper Abdelaziz El-Balouti.

The result leaves NBE on one point after two rounds in 14th place, while El Hodood, absent from the opening round, kicked off their campaign with three points to sit ninth in the table.
Kahraba 2-2 Petrojet
Kahraba Ismailia clawed back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Petrojet at Petrosport Stadium in the second round of the Premier League.

Centre-back Ahmed Bahbah opened the scoring for Petrojet in the eighth minute, meeting Tawfik Mohamed’s pinpoint cross with a composed finish.
Palestinian winger Badr Mousa doubled the hosts’ lead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after a VAR review confirmed the foul.

The visitors responded after the break, with striker Mohamed Shika pulling one back in the 54th minute by turning in a low cross. Just three minutes later, defender Seif El-Khashab headed home from a corner to level the score.
The draw leaves Petrojet on two points from as many games in 10th place, while Kahraba Ismailia picked up their first point of the season to climb to 13th.
Modern 2–1 Al-Ittihad
Modern Sport secured their first win of the season with a 2–1 triumph over Al-Ittihad of Alexandria in the second round at Alexandria Stadium.

The visitors made a dream start, taking the lead in the 5th minute when striker Hossam Hassan was brought down inside the area by Al-Ittihad’s goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel Rahim “Gennesh”.
Centre-back player Mohamed Hilal stepped up and calmly slotted home the resulting penalty to put Modern in front.

The pressure continued, and just before the half-time whistle, centre-back Mahmoud Rizk rose highest in stoppage time to head in a second, giving Modern a comfortable advantage at the break.
Al-Ittihad came out stronger in the second half, pressing for a way back into the match. Their efforts were rewarded in the first minute of second-half stoppage time when forward Fadi Farid latched onto a loose ball to reduce the deficit. However, Modern’s defence held firm in the dying moments to seal the win.

The victory lifted Modern Sport to four points and fifth place after two matches, while Al-Ittihad stayed bottom in 21st without a point following back-to-back defeats.
