Defending champions Al-Ahly held to a 1-1 draw against National Bank of Egypt (NBE) in a rescheduled match from the 25th week of the Egyptian Premier League.
Playmaker Mohamed Magdi ‘Afsha’, opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 48th minutes as National Bank of Egypt centre-forward Karim Bambo equalized in the 86th minutes.
Al-Ahly is now second in the table with 52 points from 24 matches, 9 points behind leader Zamalek who played three matches more.
The result pushed National Bank of Egypt to 15th place with 26 points from 27 matches.
