CAIRO – President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Patrice Motsepe confirmed that the 2021 African Cup of Nations will be held in Cameroon in early 2022 as planned.
Cameroon is 95 per cent ready to host the tournament, Motsepe told the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly meeting that was held in Cairo.
“The passion I saw in Cameroon about AFCON, I have never seen it before. I am confident that we are going to have a wonderful AFCON in Cameroon in January,” Motsepe said.
