Egypt’s Administrative Court has ordered to dismiss Mortada Mansour from the presidency of Zamalek SC after being convicted on charges of slander.
The court also obliged the Sports Ministry – as the administrative body concerned – to issue an order to that effect.
The court on Sunday declared that the presidency position at Zamalek SC is now vacant and ordered the board to call for early elections.
Administrative court rulings are binding and cannot be challenged at the supreme administrative court.
Four lawsuits had been filed by members of Zamalek SC demanding that the Sports Ministry act to sack Mansour.
