The year 2023 will be awash with important sports events for Egypt.
The same events fill sports lovers and fans in this country with hope that sports glories will be lying ahead.
The same fans and lovers also hope that these glories will countervail the failures of the past years.
This past year was not a happy one for Egyptian sports, particularly when it came to football, the most popular sport in this country.
Egyptian teams, including the national football team, could not make any significant regional, continental or international achievements during that year.
Al-Ahly football team only succeeded in bucking this trend at the beginning of the year, when it came in third place and won the bronze medal of the FIFA Club World Cup which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
The Egyptian Mail lists here the most important sports events to be held in 2023, hoping to spread knowledge among sports fans about what is in store for them in the coming months.
